THE FUTURE IS
NOW

Holly-Anne Buck / Collagism™ is an Australian multi-media artist working with the medium of collage. Her work is focused on creating art and ideas that are fresh, new and have never been seen before. Having devoted the past 20 years of her art practice living in Tokyo, London, NYC, Mexico City and Melbourne her work is a mashup of cultures, iconography and ideologies that has developed into the recognisable Collagism™ style.

BIG THINGS FOR A BIG COUNTRY

My most recent series of work Big Things for a Big Country celebrate the vastness and beauty of Australia. It is also a nod to the well loved Big Things of Australia that are tourist attractions in towns across the country. From concept to creation these fictional Big Things are created using the latest technologies of image manipulation and my love for a sunburnt country.

Cover Art

Bespoke artwork devised and created by Collagism™ for the cover of Steve Madden’s autobiography.

Everyone knows Steve Madden’s name and his shoes, and his part in the film The Wolf of Wall Street but few are familiar with his story.

Over the past thirty years Steve Madden has taken his eponymous shoe company from a fledgling startup to a global, multi-billion-dollar brand.

Madden holds nothing back as he treats the reader to his wild ride through rise, fall and comeback

ALIENESE 24 HOUR

Inspired by the quote ‘We’re all the same dude, dude’ by sampling artist Girl Talk, Alienese 24 Hour is a video work that explores the internet of you, me, them and whatever is now. Alienese 24 Hour is pure “audio-visual Collagism” -  a new language that describes the future that was now.

Created in collaboration with Adam Milburn, Alienese 24 Hour is a project that has been exhibited at Subway Gallery, The Vaults Gallery, The Wrong Biennale, Scream and Tate Britain. Exhibitions of Alienese 24 Hour have included projections of ausio visual video art, video scultpures, metallic prints and original collages. It is rumoured that Prince Harry attended the launch of Alienese 24 Hour at The Vaults Gallery in Waterloo, London.

The masks were created by Collagism™, Benito Juárez, Oliver Baggot, Adam Milburn, Jay Harper, Graham Dunning, Will Merryn Edgecombe, Julie Santos, Ezequiel Claverie, Lola Rojo, Sarah Linton & kids from World End Estate.

The project has been supported by Apiary Studios, London and The Whitechapel Gallery - First Thursdays Program.
